Cut the meat of the stew into many equal morsels, coat them in the flour and add them to the crockpot.
Cut the potatoes and carrots in equal parts (large cubes) and add to the crockpot as well. Cut also the onion into slices.
Add the frozen peas. The red wine, salt and pepper and if you like it some tomato sauce.
Cover and let it cook up to 4 hours on high mode then on low for another 4. Check on it occasionally.ย
Serve your beef stew hot with homemade bread.
Note
Only at the end of cooking can you remove the lid from the crockpot with the potato and pea stew, so that it can dry according to the consistency you prefer.
